Cassidy Athletics aims to unite boules players worldwide, whether they play professional bocce in Italy or pètanque at a restaurant in the south of France.
We spent the year of 2022 traveling throughout Europe to connect with the professional world of boules to understand better how the sport is being played worldwide. Thanks to the hospitality felt from every club we experienced, each new spot felt like an extension of our home.

Caccialanza – The 2021 & 2022 back-to-back Champions of Italy
During the 2022 season, we were graciously hosted by Gino, the President of Caccialanza, at his club. The hospitality we received at Caccialanza made us feel like we were part of the family. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with a scrumptious homemade meal and later received on-the-court training from professional bocce player Marco Luraghi, making our time at the club exceptional. Additionally, the bottomless beer mugs were a delightful touch. We are excited to stay in touch with Gino and explore opportunities to connect bocce players from California to Milan.
Vigiaso Villafranca – The House of Franco
Franco has twice welcomed us at his bocce facility in Vigasio, Italy. Both times with open arms, a homemade meal and plenty of bocce. Taking time out of his day to teach us the tricks we never knew. It’s truly an incredible experience anytime you are at the bocce center in Vigasio.
Possaccio
When traveling throughout Northern Italy, you can’t miss Lake Maggiore, where you’ll find this incredible bocce facility. We were greeted by Dario and Sergio when we arrived, members of the facility who spent the entire day with us. From on-the-court lessons, to playing mixed games as the first Americans to ever do so on their courts, to ending the day with a hosted meal afterwards. The experience was top notch and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
